Description: The WILDFIRE roller coaster attraction at Silver Dollar City is comprised of a B&M “floorless” style coaster, and a queue line experience especially themed to appear to be the active workshop of a wacky (Jules Verne-inspired) 1890’s inventor, Dr. Horatio Harris. Harris’s passion is developing a new form of rapid transportation. Guests walking through the queue experience the inventor’s private office, complete with custom furniture, and a variety of in-progress inventions and experiments.
The central focus of the queue area is the WILDFIRE fuel still (which produces an early version of rocket fuel), which dominates the main entry area, rising to a height of approximately 15 feet. The clear center tube employs a variety of bubbling effects, and is able to create bubbles that range in size from ¼” to about the size of a volleyball. The “still” routinely seems ready to explode, and concludes each buildup with short spritz of water on nearby guests.
