I have always been an avid writer and artist, and have been gifted with the opportunity to unify these skills as a professional Experience Designer. When asked what I do, I generally describe myself as a ‘visual or three-dimensional story teller’.

Profile Picture01

I tell stories that engage as many senses as possible, and then embed that story in a physical or virtual destination. Thus, these stories not only have a sense of place, but have the capacity to immerse guests on an emotional level.

My career has allowed me to work with people of many cultures, and to develop projects in the United States, Europe, and the Pacific Rim. From a design perspective, I have been able to celebrate cultural differences, while at the same time recognizing and re-enforcing the elements that bring people together.

For over 20 years I was Owner, Vice President, Creative Director, and Show Producer for MY Design, Inc. (an Experiential Design company) and MAYAD, Inc. (a Specialty Fabrication company). My professional experience has encompassed theme parks, resorts, themed retail, food and beverage operations, and specialty exhibits. Examples of my work experience include the Kia Automotive Pavilion for the 1993 Expo in Taejon, Korea, the Sea Odyssey attraction for Universal’s Port Aventura theme park in Tarragona, Spain, and the turn-key development of location-based brand centers for both the Coca-Cola Japan Company and Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

When not writing, designing, or otherwise exercising some creativity, I enjoy the natural beauty of Florida, and travel and explore elsewhere whenever possible. To view my professional resume, please visit my profile on LinkedIn.
